Gas Pos is looking for a VP Sales to accelerate the adoption of its point of sale system in truck stops and gas stations across the US. This is a senior leadership position working directly with the CEO. We are seeking an experienced leader with a track record of building and executing a go-to-market strategy for payments, financial products, software or other technology products to small and medium enterprises. You will build and manage a sales team, set and own revenue goals, and work cross-functionally with operations and product to drive growth.

Gas Pos is a high-growth fintech startup improving card payments at truck stops and gas stations across the US. It is backed by leading Silicon Valley investors, including Y Combinator & more.

What you will do in this role:

  • Work with the founders to develop a go-to-market strategy to roll out Gas Pos payment solutions to the 60,000 independent or small chain gas stations and truck stops across the US.

  • Recruit, incentivize and manage a sales team to set and meet revenue targets.

  • Work with the CEO and CFO to structure revenue & general business metrics, forecasting, functional review meetings, customer account reviews, weekly team meetings, etc.

  • Represent the voice & view of sales in cross-functional leadership conversations. You will leverage your experience to: (1) influence development of the core product (2) influence pricing, marketing and product positioning (3) evolve customer experience and customer support workflows, and (4) help expand and refine requirements for field operations.

  • Beyond setting up the sales team, you will likely be a critical part of direct sales and relationship management for larger enterprise clients ($1M+ annual contracts)

  • Travel within the US is likely a necessary part of the job (up to 50%).
     

Minimum qualifications:

  • 10 years of experience in sales, including management experience in sales at a B2B product company

  • Demonstrated ability to recruit and manage a B2B sales team
     

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience setting and executing on a go to market strategy targeting SMB segments such as quick service restaurants, convenience stores, gas stations, etc

  • Demonstrated ability to drive sales for products that require nationwide-deployment of hardware units and support

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, and executive presence

About the role:

  • Seniority: Member of the executive team, working closely with the founders to determine strategy and execute on key decisions.

  • Location: Flexible. Gas Pos is located in Little Rock, AR and regular travel to meet with founders and team will be necessary. Sales team is distributed and aptitude and fit for the role will be prioritized over location.
